Snowy Scenes Winter 2011
This is Logan's snowman she made with her brothers. She took great care to put the right things for the eyes and nose and mouth but within a couple of days all that was left was a blank face, needless to say it wasn't the birds that ate the food, it was her puppy Lucia. She couldn't wait to get out there and eat it all up, carrots and all. Poor birds got nothing and mostly poor wee snowman and his naked face, but for now he is still intact!

So Good To Be The Fat Cat
Skitty (the wild cat) has been doing very well for herself this winter. After nearly dying in October she recovered quickly enough to pack on the ounces to prepare for this very snowy and at times very cold season. Looking a little squat in the bottom picture she leans out when she is on her hunting missions, though a hunting mission seems to be looking for my father who keeps a stash of cat food close at hand.

So Much Snow
This was my first winter in America, it was 1982 and I was eleven years old. Even though I don't look too happy in the photo I was actually having a good time despite falling a couple of times and being a target for snowballs. This was the era of leg warmers which came in handy for the amount of snow we got, now to do something about that gap between gloves and cuff!
